MUSIC VIDEO EDITING PROCESS

Image
For the process of editing , we used 2 editing softwares but our main software used was capcut due to it's convenient editing processes. Editing was a lengthy task as choosing between shots and incorporating with the lyrics took quite some time.

REPRESENTING THE ARTIST'S IMAGE AND BRANDING

Image
Artists and creators use the digipak format to create a more cohesive brand image. To promote our artist, this is the front we used for our digipak. It represents our artist and the vision of MK studios. The red hues, text and the artist's red hair work together to create a sense of branding for the ANTI-HERO music video.

INCORPORATING MUSIC VIDEO ELEMENTS INTO DIGIPAK

Image
We used this screengrab to make our digipak as close a reflection to our project as possible As mentioned before in the designing digipak post, We added reddish burgundy hues to incorporate the elements of our music video into this digipak. We also made our texts on the digipak a shade of burgundy, creating a well interconnected project (mv) and digipak.

Designing the digipak

Image
Digipaks offer a premium, stylish alternative to conventional packaging, enhancing both the product's presentation and its appeal to consumers.  To design our digipak, we used the canva app. Firstly I began with choosing a suitable template for the digipak, followed by the album cover and so on. We took pictures for the digipak and used one screengrab to make the digipak a true reflection of our music video and its themes. Once again, our digipak also shows red and yellow hues for the potrayal of our self loathe concept.

Interaction and engagement strategies

Image
To engage our audience and promote the video on social media, we started by following friends and family to help build a connection. I personally sent messages to our friends to let them know of our music video release.  We also created blog posts leading up to the video’s release to generate excitement. A teaser was shared to give a sneak peek and capture attention. In addition, we posted stories with photos, polls, and captions to build anticipation for the premiere, including a countdown. Hashtags played a key role in boosting visibility and reach.

Integration with music video themes

Image
The themes of the music video include self-loathing, depression, mental health issues, hints of eating disorder and overall inner turmoil in the protagonist. The red hues of the social media page, the teaser made specifically for it, as well, both convey the general idea of what the video is about. what it portrays, what it signifies, in an implicit manner.
